An independent, unofficial reference site about Ousmane Sonko: how this project compiles cited public information, our neutrality policy and how to request corrections.
This is an independent, unofficial reference site about Ousmane Sonko, the Prime Minister of Senegal. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Ousmane Sonko, the PASTEF party, or the Senegalese government. We have no formal relationship with any political figure or institution mentioned on this site.
The goal is narrow: to compile clearly cited public information in one place, written in plain language for an international and diaspora audience.
Editorial principles
We aim for a neutral, factual register. We describe what is publicly documented and attribute claims to their sources. We do not campaign for or against any party or candidate, and we try to separate established facts from contested allegations, unconfirmed figures, and analysis.
Where a number or claim is widely repeated but not confirmed by an authoritative source, we say so explicitly rather than presenting it as settled.
Methodology
Pages are built from publicly available secondary sources: reference encyclopedias, established international news organisations, and public-record reporting. Each substantive claim carries a numbered citation linking to the source list at the foot of the page. When sources disagree, we note the disagreement instead of resolving it silently. Dates and figures reflect the best public information available at the stated update date; politics in Senegal moves quickly, and details can change.
Sources
Every content page (other than this one) ends with a numbered list of the sources used to write it, and inline markers point to the specific source behind each key claim. This page is methodological rather than biographical, so it carries no inline citations: it explains how sourcing works across the site instead of asserting facts about Ousmane Sonko. We prefer widely accessible, reputable references so that readers can verify any statement independently.
Corrections
If you spot an error or an out-of-date detail, please email [email protected], ideally with a link to a reliable source. We review correction requests and update pages when a factual problem is confirmed.
